100 Word Challenge Story – M.D.

Below is the first entry in the 100 word challenge, well done M.D. for being the first to finish;

The Mystery Key

“Come on Snowy this way,” shouted Charlotte. The golden retriever leapt across the snowy field. The pair walked onto a white path, Charlotte’s boots clattering in the snow and Snowy sniffing anything he could find.

“What’s that over there?” asked Charlotte. They both walked and saw a metal key lying on the floor. Charlotte slowly picked it up. The key started shimmering and suddenly Charlotte and Snowy began to shrink. “AHHH!” screamed Charlotte, “Where are we?” A strange voice spoke,

“You are in a mythical land, only the key can get you out”

“Where is the key?” exclaimed Charlotte.

Snow Day!

I hope everybody is having an enjoyable snow day. A little known fact: Chionophobia is a fear of snow – I’m pretty sure no one in GE class suffers from this.

Although school was shut my wife still had to go into work. I was kind and offered to walk with her. Below are some pictures that I took on my way into Bath.

If you have taken pictures of yourself in the snow feel free to bring them in and we can display them in the ‘Golden Eagle Gallery’.

Back to England

After 22 hours of travelling – including a 14 hour flight Mr H. arrived back in England this evening.

This was the view from the lounge at Kuala Lumpur Airport.

He was lucky enough to fly Business Class on the upper deck of an A-380 one of the newer types of large aeroplanes.

Last Day of Holiday

Happy 2013! Tomorrow I am flying back to the UK (I have to get up at 4:45am!) so today was my last day here. I went to buy some Chinese New Year decorations to put up in the class around the time of Chinese New Year which starts on 10th February 2013 – it will change from the Year of the Dragon to the Year of the Snake. I asked in the shop for items with snakes on they said that they ddn’t have any because they are considered bad luck!
